Community Acts and Events

We welcome back performances and events from our wonderful community collaborators.

On Sunday 10th the mini CovLitFest returns to Springboard this year prior to the first big CovLitFest on 25-27 June. It features four local authors, reading extracts from their works and participating in a Q&A.
Taking part are:
Aaron Ashmore- a children’s author who promotes Coventry history with his range of books celebrating the city.
Wren James- a Young Adult sci-fi author and writer for Netflix's Heartstopper.
Anna Patrick- an author deeply inspired by true historical events, particularly those from her mother's wartime experiences.
Nicky Downes- the bestselling author of the DI Jack Kent police procedural series and psychological thriller, Her Perfect Girl.

On Monday 11th we see a performed reading of new writing from the Creative Writing Group at Coventry Vision. This is the latest live collaboration between Coventry Vision writers and Criterion Theatre actors. They will perform a range of pieces: from poetry to comedy, from prose to moving memoir.

We always look forward to the performances from Side By Side Theatre who will be performing on Tuesday 12th May. The theme of this years Show is ‘Why Dance? and it has been produced by Barbara Gunstone and choreographer Cally Northover.
