Performance - The Night Before Christmas by Anthony Neilson
19th December from 20:00 to 21:30
In the Bar and Foyer

We couldn't let the year go by without getting some sort of show on! So, we are excited to be able to share a bit of fun for the Christmas season.

Starring three members of the Criterion Board (Jon Elves, Chris Firth and Anne-marie Greene) and our very own webmaster (Pete Gillam) we present, 'The Night Before Christmas' , directed by Bill Butler.

It will be performed in our brand new bar and foyer on the 17th, 18th and 19th December.

'The Night Before Christmas' is the ultimate Christmas anti-pantomime!

Gary’s life is not brilliant. It’s Christmas eve, he’s broke, he’s promised his son some top of the range Power Ranger figures but he hasn’t delivered them, and now his ex wife is out to find him baying for blood. But none of that matters any more because Gary has a secret. A big (well… small, tiny, and extremely festive) secret that might very well save him and the whole of humanity.

A mixture of South Park and Miracle on 34th Street by way of Scrooged, Anthony Neilson’s hilarious and cutting comedy about finding the true spirit of Christmas comes to the Criterion.

Warning Notice

Please be warned that this play is a bit rude, covering some adult themes and has more than a liberal smattering of swearing, so is not a play for children.
